| President’s Message It is my great honor to welcome you to the 22nd International Congress of Oriental Medicine to be held in Nagoya, Japan in June, 2027, in conjunction with the 77th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Oriental Medicine. Oriental Medicine, refined through centuries of clinical practice and philosophical insights, continues to evolve in response to the changing needs of global healthcare. Today, it stands at a unique crossroads—where tradition meets innovation, and where accumulated wisdom must be reinterpreted and transmitted to future generations. The main theme of this congress, “Love for Oriental Medicine: Passing It on to the Next Generation,” reflects our shared responsibility. Beyond scientific advancement and evidence generation, what sustains our field is a deep commitment—an enduring respect for patients, for nature, and for the holistic principles that underpin our practice. This congress aims to provide an international platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration.By bringing together clinicians, researchers, and educators from diverse cultural and medical backgrounds, we hope to foster mutual understanding and to further integrate Oriental Medicine into modern healthcare systems worldwide. Nagoya, located in the heart of Japan, has long been a hub of cultural exchange and innovation. We believe it offers an ideal setting for meaningful academic discussion and international friendship.I sincerely hope that this congress will not only deepen scientific knowledge, but also reaffirm our shared passion and vision—ensuring that the spirit of Oriental Medicine will continue to thrive and be passed on to the next generation.
